David’s Story

David took on the daily care of his two young nephews after their father passed and their mother battled with substance use disorder. With the grandmother in poor health, David stepped in to provide stability and support for the boys, while also raising his own son. His dedication to his family reflects a deep commitment to helping children navigate a long history of trauma and uncertainty.

When David faced eviction and had no funds for a security deposit or first month’s rent, he turned to LEAVEN for help. “They made it possible for me to provide a stable home for my kids when I didn’t know how I could manage,” he shared.

With LEAVEN’s support, David was able to secure a safe, stable home—giving him the foundation to continue caring for his nephews and son and create a home where they can heal, grow, and thrive together.
