LEAVEN volunteers and staff work together to offer support and referrals to families. On a daily basis, LEAVEN depends upon 20-25 volunteers serving in various roles for 3-4 hour shifts to meet the needs of our clients.
We ask that each volunteer commit to at least one shift per week. LEAVEN volunteers must be 18 or older and serve between these hours on Monday 9 am-7 pm, Tuesday-Thursday 9 am-4 pm, or Friday 9 am-12 pm. at our office in Menasha.
Without volunteers our program could not operate and we trust them to be a compassionate and professional representation of LEAVEN.

RECEPTIONISTS greet clients and visitors, answer phones, schedule client appointments, and assist clients and visitors navigate services available at LEAVEN. Receptionists at LEAVEN must be hospitable and welcoming as they are often the first contact people have with LEAVEN.
INTERVIEWERS meet directly with clients to complete the electronic LEAVEN intake process for anyone requesting financial assistance. It is part of the interviewer role to help clients feel comfortable and summarize what services they need.
CASEWORKERS investigate, document, and verify client requests for assistance. Based on information received, Caseworkers make decisions on how best to help and communicate decisions to clients.
RECORDS & ADMINISTRATIVE volunteers work behind the scenes at LEAVEN inputting data, filing, creating electronic referrals for clients, processing client checks, and assisting staff with various projects.
All LEAVEN volunteers must be able to use a computer; each role requiring usage of LEAVEN’s database. Volunteers receive a LEAVEN orientation and individual hands-on training before beginning to serve a regular shift.
